Saving a native reptile with Susan Barnes, Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife.
Get up close and personal with rare northwestern pond turtles & the threats to this special species, including invasive bullfrogs. Yamhill County is home to one of the largest known populations of the turtle. Hear about the research happening to get to know this critter and its needs in an effort to save them before they’re gone. Take a hike between the wetlands and oak savannas of Muddy Valley Habitat Reserve which is the largest and most diverse protected property in Yamhill County.
