About the event

Join Yamhill Conservation Trust and conservation partners for a series of informative walks on local conservation properties. Space is limited for each event, so register to secure your spot!

Explore restored native prairies and hear about threatened native plants.

Walk the restored native prairies at the Yamhill Oaks property in Gopher Valley while celebrating flight season for the threatened Fender’s blue butterfly. Enjoy the abundance of wildflowers including rare plants such as Kincaid’s lupine, Willamette daisy and golden paintbrush. Native Plant Society volunteers from our local Cheahmill chapter will be available to help identify native plants and talk with you about their importance in the landscape. Partners from the Institute for Applied Ecology will also talk about the restoration work that has been done in the area.

A bonus walk will be provided by Jordan Anderson, Yamhill SWCD Conservation Projects Manager, who will point out the good and bad features…
